Incorporating turbulence models into the Lattice-Boltzmann Method, Int. J. Mod. Phys. C, 9, 1159–1175
This paper presents a numerical experiment of a turbulent flow. The fluid is simulated with lattice Boltzmann, and the two equations of a k-epsilon model are solved separately as a closure for the physics of unresolved subgrid scales. The results show that lattice Boltzmann works fine with the k-epsilon model and thus can be used for simulating high Reynolds-number flows.
