This 3D flow is confined in a rectangular channel, and evolves over a backward facing step. As can be seen on the picture, a vortex is created in the wake of the step, and a minor secondary one close to the top wall.

The flow is simulated on a 1080x90x90 grid at a Reynold number of Re=1000.
